[edit] Background
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is an update of Sonic Adventure 2. The game featured many differences and new features compared to Sonic Adventure 2. The Chao-raising system was improved. It now enabled players to check their Chao's stats within the game. It's also possible to transport a Chao to a copy of Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Pinball Party using the Gamecube-Gameboy cable. The game also featured new options for the multiplayer. Previously, multiplayer characters had to be unlocked, in Battle, they are already unlocked. The ways in which the player had to unlock them were now rewarded with kart features.
[edit] Gameplay
Two new playable characters enter the Sonic universe -- a mysterious dark hedgehog called Shadow, and a jewel-thieving bat named Rouge. In the single-player mode, you’ll go through more than 30 unique stages, which include everything from a forgotten pyramid, an abandoned military base, and a giant space station. Then there’s the expanded two-player mode, which features 12 playable characters competing in new head-to-head games. All of this adds up to Sonic’s biggest adventure yet.
