CHARACTER DEATHS
Several characters have actually died during the series. These are as follows. Note that Maria is not included, because that happened before the series.
  • Sonic, who technically dies in Sonic The Hedgehog (the new one). This is one of only three deaths in the official series storyline, and also the only organic character death. He also has a "fake death" in Sonic Adventure 2.
  • Tails, who can die in the "bad ending" of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the Game Gear.
  • E-102 GAMMA, who technically dies in Sonic Adventure. This is one of only three deaths in the official series storyline.
  • Dr. Eggman, who dies in three of Shadow The Hedgehog's ten endings.
  • Shadow, who has a "fake death" in Sonic Adventure 2.
  • Emerl, who dies in Sonic Battle. This is one of only three deaths in the official series storyline.
