Amy is a pink hedgehog who made her debut in Sonic CD.

The series itself contains two different images of Amy. Her initial appearance in the series is as a plump hedgehog with long, Sonic-ish hair. She isn't particularly active in this form, and relies on her home-made, racing buggy/hover-craft for transport in Sonic R. She is often seen wearing a green dress in this first form. The newer version of her is somewhat taller and fitter, has longer, straighter hair, and carries a hammer as a weapon. Her new outfit consists of a red, middle-length dress and a hair-band, and that is basically it. As opposed to merely having a bit of a crush on Sonic, the new Amy is relentlessly chasing him, and her requests have gone from just wanting to be his girlfriend, to wanting to marry him, to wanting to start a family with him.
