Blaze the Cat is a characters in the Sonic series, who made her debut in Sonic Rush, for the Nintendo DS. Blaze came from a different dimension than Sonic and crossed into Sonic's dimension while searching for her stolen Sol Emeralds, which she guarded. Silver also lives in this demension. At first, Blaze and Sonic seem to be enemies, but they eventually became friends. After her debut, Blaze also appears in Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Rush Adventure as a major character. She can control fire, and with the Sol Emeralds, she transforms into her super form, Burning Blaze.

Blaze enters Sonic's world looking for the Sol Emeralds. Soon, she believes that Sonic was the one who stole them. It turns out that Eggman Nega, the "Eggman" of her world stole them. Sonic and Blaze team up to defeat the two Eggmans. Soon, in Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 you find out that Silver and Blaze are from the same world, and are great friends.
