Bosses (SADV1)
From Sonic - Wiki on Neoseeker
Eggman's latest batch of contraptions; as usual, all come with a weakness.
Please note that none of these are official titles for these contraptions.
[edit] Area 1 Boss: Egghammer Tank
This one is rather easy to beat. When Robotnik comes on, he’ll be in his ship, then he’ll fly off. Follow him to start the battle. When the hammer comes down, avoid it and jump on the car he is driving on. After 5/7 hits (difficulty level dependent), he will start to use the hammer as a vault and will jump after every hit from the hammer. Hit him one more time to destroy him. Hit the barrel that comes down, and run off to the next stage!
[edit] Area 2 Boss: Spring Striker
A little harder than the first boss. When he first comes down, nail some hits on him. Eventually, he will jump up and go away for a few seconds. Run around so he doesn’t come down on you. When he does come down, jump because the shockwave will make you lose your rings. After 8 hits, this guy is toast.
[edit] Area 3 Boss: Twin Hover Ships
The arena here consists of eight pipes and a platform in the centre of the arena. Dr. Eggman's Hover Ship will fly out of one pipe and into another, as will a dangerous, apparently indestructible second Hover Ship. The idea is to stand either on or below the central platform, and attack the Doctor while jumping over (or ducking under, depending on your position) the second Hover Ship. Repeat until the Doctor is down.
[edit] Area 4 Boss: Cavern Clinger
Eggman's machine is suspended below the icy ceiling of the cavern. To defeat him, jump onto the icicles which he causes to fall with his tremors, jump up and attack him. Tails and Amy can use their special abilities to get up there mroe easily.
[edit] Area 5 Boss: Cyber-Knuckles
This Boss is possibly the most difficult one so far. Cyber-Knuckles will use three attacks. Its main attack is a Spin-Dash attack. It also has a Jumping Attack and a Gliding Attack. It is also capable of blocking certain attacks. If it is standing normally, attack it from above; if it is holding its fists above its head, attack it from the sides. Three or four hits to Cyber-Knuckles (depending on your selected difficulty level) will cause its disguise to disintegrate, revealing the mechanical skeleton underneath. Cyber-Knuckles is now MUCH more swift, and will use the attacks from the previous round along with a barrage of immense missiles, which can be almost impossible to avoid. It only stops for a very brief interval before going on the offencive again. Three or four more hits to it (again, depending on your selected difficulty level), and it will be destroyed.
[edit] Area 6 Boss: Sphere Speeder
Robotnik is on a car that is around the platform that you are on. His spikes are up most of the time, and when he flips over, that is your time to hit him. He will release energy orbs after every hit, so avoid those. After 6/8 hits, he’s history, and you’ll move on to the next stage.
[edit] Area 7 Boss 1: Wrecking Ball Bomber
The first boss from Sonic 1. Also made an appearance in S+K. Robotnik has a huge ball on a chain hanging from his ship, and there are two platforms on the sides of the arena. Jump on these platforms and hit the ship until it explodes.
[edit] Area 7 Boss 2: Drill Trooper
The first boss from Sonic 2, this one is actually a little easier than the first boss. Robotnik has a drill on his car. After 3 hits, the drill will shoot in front of him. Keep hitting him until he dies.
[edit] Area 7 Boss 3: Revolvobotnik
This boss steps it up so much from the second one it might take you a few days to beat this one. This boss has 4 attacks. He launches a ball at two different trajectories. Don’t try to attack while he attacks this way. He also fires a beam from his ship. Duck to avoid. His final attack from his ship is a hand. To avoid, run to the edge of the screen. When the hand fires, jump over it and jump on his ship. Hit it again if you have the time. His final attack is just flying across the screen. Jump over him and land on him to register a hit. There’s a way you can tell which attack he is going to do. Look at the three holes coming out of his ship. Whichever one comes out facing you, you will be able to tell. If it is a hole that is angled up, it will be the cannonball. If it is just a plain hole, it will be the beam. If it a hole with a little thing sticking out of it, it will be the hand. When his ship keeps spinning, he will fly across the screen. Keep hitting him until he dies. If you don’t have all the Chao Emeralds, enjoy the ending. If you did, be prepared for…
[edit] Final Boss: Lunar Egg Droid
The obligatory "super-charged-final-Boss-which-you-fight-as-Super-Sonic" opponent, the Lunar Egg Droid has only two attacks, but they are dangerous. Bear in mind that your Ring Count will slowly decrease as you play here. If it is depleted, Sonic will transform back into his blue form and will die of the lack of air on the Moon (something which has apprently not even bothered him in many other games!). The main attack consists of spheres being launched from the Lunar Egg Droid. These spheres will reveal Rings if you can charge into them and destroy them, but miscalculate and they will trap you for a few seconds. The second attack is a laser beam attack, which is fired multiple times from the Lunar Egg Droid when it covers itself with its arms. This can be avoided by remaining behind the Lunar Egg Droid when it uses this attack. When the face of the Lunar Egg Droid is vulnerable, charge into it. Six or eight hits, which as always depends upon your selected and chosen difficulty level, will defeat the Lunar Egg Droid.
