Catcher Eggman (a.k.a. Catcher Robotnik) is the fourth boss in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-Bit) and is found at the end of Act 2 in the Casino Night Zone. Dr. Robotnik appears in his Egg Mobile which has even been re-decorated with brightly coloured neon lights to fit the theme of the level. At the base of the Egg Mobile Dr. Robotnik has attached two crane arms, similar to those found in UFO Catcher games, which is electrified at intervals, only switching off to drop bombs below.

The area of the boss is like a large pinball machine which Sonic and Tails must roll around in order to gain enough momentum, or use the pinball flippers, to get high enough to avoid the bombs Dr. Robotnik drops below and be able to hit the vulnerable sides and top of the Egg Mobile. This boss takes 8 hits to defeat.
