Where would Sonic be without Eggman? Eggman is the enemy of Sonic, the constant deceiver of Knuckles and the rather more experienced dark side of Tails. Dr. Robotnik is even worse than ever before. Learning of his grandfather's legacy. he's abandoned his original "Death Egg" devices (he probably got into a copyright lawsuit with Darth Vader or something) and decided to move on to something a bit larger, with only a walking, one-seater battle mech and a few Badniks for company. In other words, he is relatively confident this time...

She may look as though she isn't particularly bright, but behind the make-up and physical appearance, she hides a very clever and calculating young lass. As the only child of the Dark Side (not to mention the only girl among the six main Characters) and being raised in a modern setting, Rouge often has difficulties with adapting to the ways of the ancient Shadow and the 30-something Dr. Eggman, and regularly disrupts the brain-storming sessions of her genius ally and his scheming Hedgehog companion. She also has a bit of a temper, and almost literally explodes whenever her jewels are threatened. She also hates loud noises - and with ears that size, who can blame her?! In her spare time, she is a treasure hunter (at least, that's all she says she is in her spare time), who flies around the World, searching for her precious jewels; having practiced this since she was knee-high to an Eggrobo, her natural sense of radar power has become refined to detect nearby jewels. But is she really as evil as she makes out...?

A confused creature who believes that he is the "Ultimate Life-Form". Shadow has memories of a young girl named Maria, who is apparently Dr. Eggman's cousin, but no-one knows whether or not this memory is true or just a creation of Shadow's confused imagination. For all we know, the entire concept of Sonic himself could be one of Shadow's dreams. He possesses many of the same skills as Sonic, and can also use an ability known as "Chaos Control" using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, which enables him to either freeze everything around him temporarily or teleport him over a distance. It is rumoured that if Shadow's power can be accessed by someone else, they may be able to use this ability through him... While he is usually very stubborn and self-reliant, his memories of Maria give him a big weakness, and he can occasionally be persuaded to do things by girls who remind him of Maria.
