[edit] Is "Hyper-Shadow" in this game?

Shadow does appear in a more powerful form during the final Boss battle of the game, but this is actually his "Super"-level form, and not his "Hyper"-level form. "Hyper Shadow" is a false rumour invented by players, and perhaps moreover magazines and/or Web-Sites, and has become almost the generally accepted form of belief regarding this subject. Indeed, most cheats pages and tips magazines, believing this rumour, refer to him as "Hyper Shadow". However, much evidence in the game points toward this being his "Super"-level form, as opposed to it being his "Hyper"-level form. Shadow sometimes refers to his more powerful form during the final Boss battle. He addresses it as being "my SUPER Form", proving beyond doubt which it is.

[edit] What does Sonic give to Rouge in the final scene?

I am honestly not certain. Apparently, in the Anime Series Sonic X, this scene was altered slightly, and as opposed to giving the mystery item(s) to Rouge, Sonic gives the "rings" which held Shadow's gloves on to another Character. However, what Sonic is holding in the game is unknown. My best theory is that Sonic gives a precious stone of some form which he acquired in Space to Rouge (it is quite possible that he thanks her for helping while he does this in the Japanese Version of the game).

[edit] Who or what is the real "Shadow"?

The real "Shadow" is the Bio-Lizard. Careful analysis of a particular conversation between the black hedgehog and Rouge indicate this. The black hedgehog assumes itself to be the true "Shadow" after being dubbed "Shadow" by Gerald and Maria. At this time, Gerald did not want anyone else to be aware of his other devastating creation (The Bio-Lizard), so he dubbed the black hedgehog "Shadow" and allowed the black hedgehog and Maria to continue believing this. However, when Rouge searched through the ARK's computer database to discover the truth about "Shadow", she discovers that the black hedgehog is not the real "Shadow", but the vague image of the Bio-Lizard displayed on the screen at that time, along with other evidence, shows that the real "Shadow" is not the black hedgehog.

[edit] Why do the Characters' mouths not fit their lines?

During the seqeunce of FMVs leading up to the "Cannon's Core" Stage, the Characters frequently appear to make strange movements with their mouths. In the most humorous example, Rouge finishes a line of dialogue before fully opening her mouth wide again as though she is screaming! This is caused by the fact that, when the game was programmed, the mouth movements of the Characters were designed to fit the JAPANESE dialogue, which was LATER dubbed over by the ENGLISH voice actors and voice actresses. Using my example above, Rouge's mouth movements there fit in perfectly with her expression in Japanese. Add to that the fact that she has a higher-pitched voice in Japanese (as does almost every Character; Shadow and Dr. Eggman are apparently the only exclusions), and this becomes much more fitting for her Japanese dialogue. Also bear in mind that the longest FMV of this section is by far the longest FMV in the entire game (being several minutes in length!), which makes the job more difficult still.
