The Scrambled Egg Zone is the sixth zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-Bit) and appears to be a continuation of the Gimmick Mountain Zone with a similar design throughout the level as Sonic goes deeper into the mountain. However it has retained it's rock interiors more than the previous level, but is filled with tunnels and traps.
If Sonic has failed to collect the previous 5 Chaos Emeralds, this will be the last level of the game and Sonic won't proceed onto Crystal Egg Zone.

The boss for this zone is Silver Sonic, referred to as Mecha Sonic in the Japanese game manuals, the same Silver Sonic who appears in the Death Egg Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-Bit).
