Sonic Colors (or Sonic Colours, as titled outside of the United States and Japan due to the difference in spelling) is a video game in the Sonic series, released on November 2010 for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Although, both versions are slightly different games. The Wii version features both 2D and 3D platforming, while the DS version features strictly 2D platforming. The Wii version plays similar to the daytime stages from Sonic Unleashed, while the DS version plays similar to Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure.

Sonic the Hedgehog himself is the only playable character, but can use different powers with the help of Wisps.

[edit] Storyline

Dr. Eggman decides to open up an amusement park, Dr. Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park, naturally arousing the suspicions of Sonic who, along with Tails, decide to take a look. Once they arrive they soon learn from Yacker, a wisp which is an alien species, that Dr. Eggman has kidnapped a number of wisps with the intent of using their powers to fuel a new mind control device that he is creating.
