Sonic and the Black Knight is the second game in the Sonic Storybook series, the first being Sonic and the Secret Rings.

[edit] Information

The game is set in a King Arthur setting and combines trademark Sonic speed with sword fighting. As Sonic explores towns and interacts with people he gets a "knight rating" based on accomplished deeds. Additionally there are several treasures to be collected in game, which can be traded online between friends.

The game also utilises a skill system similar to that seen in the previous Storybook game, only with some adjustments. Initially only the Knight skill set is available, which is a more evenly balanced set, but later as the game progresses Cavalier and Paladin become available which focus more on speed and power.

[edit] Storyline

Based in the King Arthur setting, a sorceress named Merlina, the granddaughter of Merlin, summons Sonic to her world in order to help them free King Arthur who has been possessed and is now ruling the kingdom as an evil Black Knight. In order to return the king to normal, Sonic must collect together all the blades of the Knights of the Round Table.
