Time Racer

  • Script: Mark Millar
  • Art: Ed Hillyer
  • Lettering: Tom Frame

Sonic is trekking across the planet after getting a message that Tails has been captured, after running to the other side of Mobius Sonic soon reaches and rescues Tails who was chained in a small pool of water, only just shallow enough to allow him to breathe. After Sonic gets Tails out of the water, he tells him that this was a trap set up by Dr. Robotnik, who appears on a screen behind them. He reveals that his space satellite is getting into position to fire its death ray, and will fire on the Emerald Hill Zone in just five seconds, destroying the zone and killing everyone within it.

Dr. Robotnik's space satellite
With only 5 seconds to spare, Sonic runs as fast as he can across the planet to the Emerald Hill Zone where the death ray hits and starts it's destruction. Sonic yells to the animals around to run for it and heads to the beach. He then runs on the sand at hyper-speed to make it smooth and shiny like a mirror, then brings it back into the path of the death ray, making the death ray beam bounce back into space and destroy the satellite in the process. Just after Sonic has saved the day, Tails finally arrives and is disappointed that he missed out on all the action.

Casey, as Berserker, smashes the giant vehicle that was hurtling towards himself and Suzi, then the pair move on, finding an incredibly tall building with the word "EXIT" pointing to the summit. When they reach the top, a giant, semi-robotic ape attacks them. In the process of fighting, Casey's sword breaks so he attempts to change again, but ends up changing back into his regular teenage self.
