Sonic The Fighters is a spin-off game in the Sonic series. As the title suggests, it's a fighting game. It was originally only released in the Arcades. It was later released on Playstation 2 and GameCube, as a part of the Sonic Gems Collection.

Dr. Robotnik has created the Death Egg II, so Tails creates a ship to fly to it a destroy it. But there's one problem: the ship only has one seat. Now Sonic and 7 other characters must fight to decided who is strong enough to fly in the ship and destroy the Death Egg II.
