[edit] Sonic the Hedgehog CD

The Stardust Speedway Zone is the sixth zone in Sonic the Hedgehog CD and is a large sprawling network of runways that run high above a large city against the night sky. Light beams can be seen lighting up the sky from the city surface which is lit up by all the lights from the buildings below the runways. In act 2 Dr. Robotnik is constructing a large building in the shape of himself.

In the past the runways are wrapped in vines and plant life but the runways are still just as long and winding. In the bad future Dr. Robotnik has finished construction of the building he is making in the present, and all the lights of the zone have started to dim. In the good future the landscape is even brighter than that of the present and the city in the distance has been expanded on with many different buildings and even a Ferris Wheel being built.

At the end of the 3rd act, Sonic must face against Metal Sonic in a race.

[edit] Sonic Generations

The Stardust Speedway also appears in Sonic Generations as part of the rival battle challenge between Sonic and Metal Sonic.

[edit] Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Additionally, the zone appeared briefly in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, showing that Metal Sonic was left there after being defeated by Sonic in the events of Sonic CD. Dr. Robotnik returns to the zone to re-activate Metal Sonic and put the robot back to work in an effort to stop Sonic and Tails.
