VMU

The VMU, or Visual Memory Unit, is a memory card for the Sega Dreamcast, which plugs into the top port on the Sega Dreamcast controller, in front of the Rumble Pak's port. It has a little LCD screen on the front, which displays little pictures on the screen. It had the ability to save data of games, with the ability to delete/modify saved data through the Dreamcast console's main menu, and / or through the VMU's screen. It could also store some very simple games, with the player being able to play them on it's screen. The VMU unit has a d-pad, and two fascia buttons. It is powered by two batteries, much like watch batteries. Many different styles of VMU are available, with the default gray / white colors, and many more by Sega. There were also thrid party VMUs, some even without screens.
