|Wacky Workbench Zone|
|Wacky Workbench, in the present|
|Features in||Sonic the Hedgehog CD|
|Preceded by||Quartz Quadrant Zone|
|Proceeded by||Stardust Speedway Zone|
The Wacky Workbench Zone is the fifth zone in Sonic the Hedgehog CD and is a giant factory area seemingly still under construction as several areas of the flooring is not grounded. the floor builds with electricity periodically and can send Sonic high up into the air if he is standing on it when the floor discharges. As such, the level is more vertical than horizontal. Floating platforms aid travel across the floor and there are several pipes running across the level, some discharging icy cool air which can freeze Sonic into a block of ice.
In the past the Wacky Workbench is still very much under construction and has the same electrified flooring. In the distance the scaffolds can still be seen which are gone in the present. The architecture is largely similar to the Present. In the bad future, predictably, Dr. Robotnik has assumed control of the area and taken over the factory, changing it from the clean looking factory into a dirty, polluted one. Likewise in the good future the factory still exists but has been re-decorated with a lighter colour scheme and symbols generally found at fairgrounds or the circus.
Dr. Robotnik appears at the end of the 3rd act piloting the Rocket Mobile.
