[edit] Sonic the Hedgehog

  • Script: Mark Millar
  • Art: Woodrow Phoenix
  • Lettering: John Aldrich

Continuing on from the previous issue, Sonic returns to the Green Hill Zone from the Marble Zone and is looking for Tails. The zone seems deserted, until Sonic comes across a rabbit (Possibly Johnny Lightfoot), who explains to Sonic that last night Dr. Robotnik showed up and raided the entire zone, taking everyone prisoner, including Tails.

Tails, wearing the metal exo-skeleton made by Dr. Robotnik
Sonic runs through the zone to look for Dr. Robotnik and the animals, also using it as a chance to test out a new pair of trainers, destroying several badniks on his way and freeing the animals. Dr. Robotnik is lurking nearby alongside Tails, who is now wearing a metallic exo-skeleton and seemingly working for Dr. Robotnik. He warns Tails to be careful when Sonic arrives, but Tails affirms that he will deal with Sonic if he attacks.

Once Sonic arrives, he is attacked by Tails and Dr. Robotnik, Sonic is obviously confused as to why Tails would attack him, so he explains that he was frustrated and hated Sonic for always running off by himself to be the big hero, whilst he had to stay behind in the Green Hill Zone. But as Dr. Robotnik is attacking Sonic and telling him of his plan to turn everyone into badniks, Tails realises that he's made a mistake with teaming up with Dr. Robotnik, and attacks him, destroying the metallic exo-skeleton in the process.

Dr. Robotnik makes his escape and Sonic jokes that he can't even leave Tails alone for five minutes without him ending up in trouble. Tails feels guilty for attacking Sonic but is forgiven by him, Sonic is more worried about his new trainers, which were ruined by the workout.

As they enter the city, the wooden bridge collapses under them, Ax-Battler is able to land safely, but his lizard is lost to a creature in the water. Ax-Battler continues, following the underground river as he heads deeper into the citadel, fighting soldiers on his way, and a vision of Sorcerer Blackspell appears infront of him, surprised to see that he is even alive. Blackspell orders Rigia to go and confront Ax-Battler, giving her a bottle of something to use on him during the fight.

Wonderboy in Demon World Part 1

  • Script: Mark Eyles
  • Art: M. DJ. Boyann
  • Lettering: Steve Potter

The story begins with Shion the Wonder Boy under attack from a demon who, after seeing Shion's strength, comments that Grimomen the demon lord could use his strength in the Demon World. He tries to paint a nice picture of what Demon World is like, but Shion obviously doesn't believe him so, before Shion can kill the demon, he disappears. Shion then gets a bad feeling and heads back to the village, finding it practically deserted and on fire. He manages to find Kevin, one of the villagers who hid during the attack, who tells Shion that demons came and took everyone away. Shion goes after the demons, catching up to their carts, but before he can free the villagers, one of the demons spots him.
