Attack on the Death Egg

  • Script: Nigel Kitching
  • Art: Ferran Rodriguez
  • Lettering: Elitta Fell

The story begins in Dr. Kintobor's underground laboratory, which Sonic has now started using as a secret headquarters. He, and Tails, are using Dr. Kintobor's old computer to research the Death Egg, which is now on a crash course and will land directly into the middle of the Emerald Hill Zone. Learning of the danger, Sonic and Tails head on Tails' plane and head for the Wing Fortress.

Tails drops Sonic off at the Wing Fortress and says he'll find a place to land and come and help, although Sonic says he'll be fine on his own. Sonic travels across the Wing Fortress and soon finds the entrance to the inside of the fortress, although he is annoyed to see the defenses he came across last time he was here (during the events of Sonic 2 are still active. Sonic makes short work of the defense system, as he already knows how it works, whilst Tails comes by, having already landed the plane and eager to help. He insists on following Sonic despite him telling Tails that he doesn't need any help.

Sonic and Tails come across the damaged Silver Sonic
Sonic and Tails continue to the edge of the Wing Fortress and take the space ship up towards the Death Egg which is still in orbit despite its poor condition. Once inside they find Silver Sonic which is still barely working. However, due to its poor condition, Sonic is easily able to destroy it. By now however the Death Egg has fallen out of orbit and is falling towards Planet Mobius.

Sonic heads to the control room and tries to manually steer the Death Egg away from the Emerald Hill Zone, and tells Tails to use the escape pod, of which there are only one. Reluctantly Tails escapes in the pod and watches the Death Egg crash into the ocean, thinking that Sonic would have died in the crash. As Tails is mourning Sonic's death, Sonic appears on top of the floating escape pod, having escaped before the Death Egg crashed into the water. Tails is obviously relieved to see Sonic safe, although Sonic is thinking about all the fuss and parties thrown in his honour that will be waiting when they get back.

The Fear Pavilion Part 6

  • Script: Alan McKenzie
  • Art: Jon Haward
  • Lettering: Ellie de Ville

Musashi has finally found Naoko after fighting the previous floor guardians in the pavilion, however, when she walks over to him, she attacks. Despite looking exactly like Naoko, Musashi realises this obviously isn't the real Naoko, she soon reveals herself to be Water, one of the four legendary elements, a group of torturers which serve in the Neo Zeed. She is quickly joined by the other three elements, so Musashi uses a smoke bomb and escapes the pavilion, realising he would rather spend his time looking for Naoko, than fighting them.

Tyris and Gilius make their way to Firedrake Fell, which appears to be part of a volcano, where Ax is being held captive by the combined Blackspell and Dark Guld.
